Where is Sam’s Burger Joint located?

Sam’s Burger Joint address is 330 E. Grayson Street. We are located next to the Pearl District, just north of downtown San Antonio at the corner of Broadway and Grayson Street.

Where should I park?

There is plenty of street parking within walking distance. Additionally, we highly encourage the use of ride sharing services like Lyft and Uber. The services can be used from the starting point of the evening or from public parking areas in the Tobin Hills and North Saint Mary’s Street area. Additionally, if you are going to another business in the area you may park in those designated areas as well, there are numerous restaurants and bars in the Pearl Brewery area that are all walking distance to Sam’s. Please be sure to pay close attention to any parking restrictions. Allow yourself extra time to park before arriving.

Do you offer to-go or delivery food orders?

We do offer orders to-go, call and place an order with a cashier in the restaurant. We do not offer delivery services at this time.

Do you take reservations for the restaurant?

We do not take reservations.

I used my credit/bank card at Sam’s last night and there is a convenience fee charge. What is that?

When US Banks adopted the European bank interchange system it allowed the banks to charge the merchants 4%-6% per transaction based on the card and the customer. In previous times before 2015 the max charge was around 2% that most merchants accepted as the cost of business. But with banks passing on the charges for their card incentive programs representing an increase of those fees by almost 200% many small businesses can no longer absorb that cost. That is the reason for the charge of around 3% fee on the card. For cash payments this is not added which represents a cash discount. A quick internet search will provide much more information and you will find many small businesses are now doing the same.

Can I book a private party/ catering?

Yes, depending on the day of the week, the kind of event you would like to host and a few other factors we will discuss with you. Contact a member of our management team for more information.

Where can I purchase tickets to upcoming shows?

Tickets can be purchased on our website, or at the box office during during any show.
Tickets purchased online are subject to applicable service charges.
The price may increase at the door, or day of show from the price noted on the website at our discretion.
Note that all ticket sales are final and NON-Refundable.

Does Sam’s music hall have seating or reserved seating?

Sam’s is a general admission venue. Seating is NOT guaranteed and is first come, first served. The only reserved seating available is previously reserved booths. Depending on the show, we may have more seating available. Most shows are standing room only, or a mix of both seats and standing. No refunds will be issued for lack of seating.
We do have 7 booths available to reserve. Reserved booths can seat up to 4 people and some may hold more. HOWEVER the number people in the booth is NOT guaranteed.

I can’t make the show, what are my options with tickets?

I left my credit card at the show last night, how can I get it back?

First, give our office a call at (210) 223-2830 to verify that we do have your card. All cards can be retrieved at Sam’s in the restaurant, starting at 2PM 7 days a week.

What is the age limit in the music hall?

Most shows at our venue are 18 and up. However, age restrictions may vary. Please check the specific show for more information. All Minors Will Be Charged an Additional $5 At the Door. 17 & Under Admitted with Parent or Guardian Only. Anyone over the age of 10 must have a ticket to go to show.

Individuals 18 and older are always welcome with a VALID government-issued ID. Acceptable forms of identification include a state-issued driver’s license or ID card, military ID, or international Passport. A student ID is not an acceptable form of identification. A parent or legal guardian may be responsible for a group of minors with a signed form. This form is available upon entering the establishment. Special considerations may be made with prior management approval.  MINORS (UNDER 21) MAY NOT CONSUME ALCOHOL UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, EVEN IN THE PRESENCE OF THEIR PARENTS OR GUARDIANS. IF MINORS ARE FOUND WITHOUT THEIR WRISTBANDS AND X’S, THEY WILL BE ESCORTED OFF THE PROPERTY. NO REFUNDS & NO QUESTIONS ASKED. Anyone under the age of 21 that consumes or attempts to consume alcohol and individuals that provide or purchase alcohol for a minor will be forced to leave the premises and also may be subject to arrest. If tickets are sold in advance, everyone must have a ticket–NO EXCEPTIONS. Some shows have an additional “minor charge” for guests under 21, which is NOT included in the price of the ticket and is to be paid at the door. Be sure to call and check for each shows for age policies.

Do I need an ID to enter the venue?

You will need a valid ID to enter the venue and to pick up your tickets.
If you are planning on drinking, a valid, non-expired, government issued ID is required at the door to verify that you are over 21 years old. This policy is strictly enforced and any violation will result in immediate ejection from the venue.

What is the re-entry policy for shows at Sams?

Adults (age 21 & up) may come and go as they please. Minors (under 21) will not be allowed to come and go after they have been admitted.

I’m coming to a show tonight, what do I wear?

Our dress code is casual and 100% up to you. We only insist that you are fully dressed (no pants, no shirt, no entry) and advise you to wear some type of foot covering for your own safety.

Do you serve food and drinks at your venue?

We have two full bars that are open during our shows. At most shows, we will have cocktail servers available. We have a full kitchen next door that services both the venue and restaurant, you have the option of ordering inside the restaurant or with a cocktail server.
Food is served Monday-Thursday until 10pm, Friday and Saturday until 11pm and Sunday until 8pm.

What is your camera policy?

Personal cameras are allowed in the venue. Flash photography, video and removable lens cameras are not permitted without venue approval. However, photography and recording policies are at the bands discretion and may change.

What are some items I am NOT allowed to bring in?

No laser pointers.
No weapons of any kind.
No outside food/ beverage/ alcohol.
No outside chairs.

What is your smoking policy?

Smoking is NOT permitted inside the venue or restaurant. We do have a designated area outside on the patio.

I lost something at Sam’s, do you have it?

We try to collect all things left behind by both guests and bands. We hold on to it for no more than 2 weeks. For small items such as clothing and phones, we have a lost and found located inside the management office. Bands looking for lost equipment can contact our management team during regular business hours.

Are you pet friendly?

Pets are allowed outside on the patio only. They must be on a leash at all times.
No animals are allowed inside the restaurant or music hall – except service animals.
